On August 28th, Zhensen Energy's "FAW Toyota Motor (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. 7.27MW Zero Carbon Energy saving Project" was officially connected to the grid and put into operation in Chengdu, Sichuan. The grid connection ceremony was held in the FAW Toyota Chengdu Intelligent Manufacturing Base factory area of Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone.

The project representatives, energy management leaders, and relevant industry partners from both sides witnessed this moment, marking the official launch and operation of another landmark zero carbon energy project in the automotive manufacturing industry in the southwest region.

FAW Toyota Motor (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. was established in 1998 and is Toyota's first complete vehicle project in China, as well as the largest automotive joint venture in Sichuan Province.

With solid manufacturing processes and strict quality management systems, FAW Toyota Chengdu Base was awarded the title of "Green Factory" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2019, always integrating green manufacturing and sustainable development concepts into production and operation.

The 7.27MW zero carbon energy-saving project connected to the grid this time fully utilizes the idle space on the roof of the base factory and the parking area carport, creating a digital zero carbon green energy system that integrates photovoltaic power generation and smart energy use.

During the construction process, the project team always adhered to the principle of "quality first, safety first", overcame multiple challenges such as tight schedule and heavy tasks, and actively coordinated with relevant local departments to add roadside parking spaces, minimizing the impact of parking lot construction on the parking order and surrounding traffic in the factory area. Ultimately, the project was completed on schedule with high standards, high quality, and zero accidents, and smoothly connected to the grid.

The project will continue to provide zero carbon green energy to the production base, reducing the energy consumption cost of enterprises while also helping them reduce the total carbon emissions in the production process, enhance the low-carbon attributes of the entire product life cycle, and assist FAW Toyota Chengdu base in building a more green and low-carbon production system. It also plays a good demonstration role in exploring low-carbon transformation paths for manufacturing enterprises in the southwest region.
